People are celebrating, flocks of sheeps coming form the Meseta are invading the streets, the Plaza Merinos, hearth of the Nation, where the Parliament overlooks the Presidential Palace, is overcrowded... the dictatorship has finished!

The President Candidates of the two main Parties, National and Popolar, are speaking to the crowd... the elections are set in the next month!

Will you manage to win the Elections, gain the majority at the Parliament and elect the President?

Here some hints on Lanolinas:

Capital City: La Ciudad

Goverment: Presidential Republic

History: Found by Colombo in 1495, Lanolinas gets its name from the flocks imported from Spain since 1545. La Ciudad is founded in 1553 as commercial distribuition of the wool here produced. Since 1648 Lanolinas is a Spanish Royal Colony, till the indipendence, declared on 19th March 1891.

As independent republic, Lanolinas is influenced by the US and knows a period of dictatorship, ended in 1969 by the Marxist Revolution of Ignacio Las Casas. At its death, in 1980, Guillermo Rosas restores the Presidentail Republic using terror and corruption, till its recent resignements.

Economy: Sheep Wool, treated into the Woolen Mill, the main local industry.

Politics:there are two main parties, National and Popolar. The country is divided into three Constituencies, each electing one Candidate to the Parliament:

First: La Ciudad, urban, with officies, University and Army Headquarter;

Second: El Centro, rural, with medium villages with shops and the Woolen Mill.

Third: La Meseta, rural, with small villages, farms, sheep breeding, hills. The game is for two players,each represents one of the political parties of the Republic of Lanolinas; one is the National Party (its badge is a blue N), the other is the Popolar Party (its badge is a red P).

Each Party shuffles its Candidates cards (with its party badge), draws all four of them, turns them on the opposite face and gets the Candidate President and a Candidate for each Constituency.

Each Party has to nominate the Candidate President and to assign one Candidate for each Constituency, showing them on the table in echelon.

The country is divided into three Constituencies, each electing one Candidate to the Parliament:

First: La Ciudad, urban, with officies, University and Army Headquarter; Second: El Centro, rural, with medium villages with shops and the Woolen Mill. Third: La Meseta, rural, with small villages, farms, sheep breeding, hills.

Game Rules (available on cards as well) Each Candidate has a Vote Value valid in all or some Consituencies only, a Note with a special empowerement of a specific Electoral Card and might have a Candidate President Special Ability too, to be used if designed as Candidate President.

Then after having shuffled the Electoral Cards, each Party draws 4 cards each; these are the cards to be assigned to the Constituencies in order to get the most Votes and therefore manage to elect its Candidate in the Constituency.

The Ecards are valid in specific Constituencies only, it is possible that a Party doesn't have any Ecard in a Constituency.

Each Party assigns the ECards for each Constituency face down; when all the cards have been assigned, the Polls start and the ECards are revealed, starting from the First Constituency.

If any Candidate President Special Ability is to be solved, solve it when necessary; the exchange of one Ecard is with an adverse revealed one at Candidate choose!

In each Constituency each Party calculates how many votes got (including the Candidate President Vote Value where is valid and all the appliable Notes of the Candidates), the most elect its Candidate at the Parliament; in case of draw, the seat remains unassigned!

The party with the most elected Candidates elects its Candidate President as President of the Presidential Republic of Lanolinas. In case of draw, the Elections are annulled and the game restarts.

The President’s Party can retain one card for the new Eleciones; one Candidate (kept to be used as Candidate President or Constituency Candidate) or one ECard, which will be not reshuffled but kept apart.

Then restart the game for a new Electoral Campaign!

A Party wins if gets the President elected three times on five Elections.
