HEXplore It este un board game de tip hero building și aventură. Pătrunde într-un tărâm plin de creaturi fantastice, eroi și răufăcători. Alege-ți protagonistul combinând două opțiuni: Rolul și Rasa. Rolul reprezintă profesia, iar Rasa moștenirea și specia. Această combinație determină punctele forte, slăbiciunile și abilitățile speciale. Vei folosi markere lavabile pentru a monitoriza forța personajului. Călătorește pe hartă, obținând îmbunătățiri prin finalizarea de misiuni și lupta cu diverși adversari. Deplasează-te cu grijă pentru a evita pericolele, vizitând orașe, altare și ruine. Acumulează putere rapid, deoarece Regele Mort se mișcă și el, cucerind așezările pe măsură ce joci. Pentru fiecare oraș distrus, el devine mai puternic. Scopul în HEXplore It este să îți dezvolți eroii cât mai repede pentru a-l învinge pe Regele Mort, aducând lumina înapoi în Vale.
