Holy Roman Empire: Wars of the Reformation, 1524-38 este un wargame de complexitate medie destinat pentru doi, trei sau patru jucători. Perioada acoperită – de la Răscoala Țăranilor până la Armistițiul de la Nisa – s-a dovedit decisivă în modelarea a ceea ce cunoaștem astăzi drept modernitate. De o parte se afla Sfântul Imperiu Roman, entitatea politică (teoretic) europeană aflată sub controlul Habsburgilor. Împotriva lor luptau Regatul Franței, Imperiul Otoman și diverse state minore, alături de valul ascendent al Protestantismului. HRE este conceput în principal pentru patru participanți, fiecare reprezentând o putere majoră: Habsburgii, Franța, Otomanii și Liga (aceasta din urmă reprezentând coaliții de state mici). Fiecare jucător dispune de o varietate de instrumente militare și politice prin care poate încerca să obțină area control asupra Europei. Regulamentul este scris având în vedere proceduri pentru partide în patru, însă sesiunile cu trei sau doi jucători pot fi gestionate folosind cadrul adaptat oferit pentru astfel de confruntări.
