Planeteers

Overview:

You are Planeteers racing across a vibrant alien planet seeded with randomised Discoveries that can act as boons or hindrances. Use wacky Gadgets to boost yourself or delay opponents, in this easy-going, family-friendly, casual race game for 3-5 players with playful 'take that' elements.

Aim of the game:

When the first player reaches the end of the game board (that represents an alien planet)the game ends. The player that has managed to bank the most treasure (victory points) at this moment is declared the winner!

There is also a simple version for younger players that just includes the race to the end, without the complexity of victory points.

How to play:

Players get a hand of gadget cards that are used to propel themselves around the board or influence other players. Gadget cards can be played on a players turn, or traded in at special board spaces for victory points. Light hand management and card 'order of play' dictate the game's tactics.

The game board 'race track' features multiple types of spaces. Checkpoints that act as navigation beacons and trading spots for acquiring victory points. Gadget Drops that replenish Gadget Cards. And Discoveries, which are essentially randomised events that change from game to game, ensuring no two playthroughs are the same.

On a player's turn, they can play cards, bank treasure or take a free move up the board. They may then draw more gadgets and end their turn. Some gadgets can be used out of turn to mess with other player's strategies!

This game is best played casually, and is very family friendly.
