Primal: The Awakening – Woltyar and Frozen Wastes

Face the heat of volcanic slopes and the frost of the northern wastes. This expansion includes a double-sided neoprene playmat that represents two of Thyrea’s biomes, adding both visual variety and unique gameplay elements.

The Woltyar biome causes the players to deal with rising temperatures, causing them to discard an increasing number of cards from the top of their deck as the battle wages on. You must also be careful while moving, as the rivers of lava can cause burning!

The Frozen Wastes saps the players precision and focus. At various rounds all mastery cards are considered blank, and from round 8 on this becomes permanent.
