Raiders of the Deep: U-boats of the Great War, 1914-18 este un nou joc de societate inspirat de The Hunters: German U-Boats at War, 1939-43 creat de Gregory Smith, care pune jucatorul la comanda unui submarin german in timpul Primului Razboi Mondial. Regulile complet rescrise si tabelele revizuite simuleaza toate aspectele majore ale primului razboi submarin, in timp ce ilustratiile noi cufunda participantul in atmosfera acelei perioade. Misiunea ta este sa distrugi cat mai multe nave ale Antantei si vase de lupta, imbunatatind in acelasi timp calitatea echipajului, castigand decoratii si avansand in grad, totul in timp ce incerci sa te intorci acasa pe masura ce sansele de supravietuire scad. Efectuarea patrulelor reprezinta nucleul sistemului: in fiecare tura vei rezolva confruntari impotriva navelor individuale, convoaielor, navelor-capcana si avioanelor inamice. Situatiile intalnite vor necesita decizii precum: Cum vei ataca un convoi? Risti sa te apropii pentru o lovitura potential mai letala? Daca lupta are loc noaptea, vei lansa un atac la suprafata?
