A set of rules for miniature wargaming in the Eastern Woodlands of North America from Pre Contact times to 1842. Uses the same engine and mechanics as my Counting Coup and Cutting Horses rules with changes appropriate for the setting in the woodlands of Eastern North America. Suitable for solo, cooperative, or head to head play. While the focus, as with Counting Coup and Cutting Horses, is on intertribal warfare, there are lists and rules for settlers, regulars, couriers du bois, rangers and other non-native forces. The Beaver Wars, Powhatan and King Philip's Wars, the French and Indian War, Pontiac's Rebellion, the American War of Independence, Northwest Frontier, Black Hawk and Seminole Wars can be gamed as well. There is a scenario generator, a full solitaire system, an unfolding map on table campaign as well as an Iroquois vs Catawba campaign. The rules use playing cards rather than dice to resolve movement, combat, and morale. Each player will need a deck of cards which is periodically reshuffled. Extensive notes on specific tribes and non-native forces.
