Rise of Eternals is a strategic board game set in the world of the Outer Lands, where you take on the role of a Hero competing to gain control over the fallen citadel of Lumen and dethrone its rulers, the Eternals.

Rise of Eternals features engine-building, resource management, strategic card play, and movement across the citadel of Lumen. A complex and engaging experience in an immersive and aesthetically pleasing setting.

Rise of Eternals is the concluding chapter of the Legends of Void saga. After the Fall of Lumen, the citadel has fallen — now you and your rivals race to claim its legacy before the Eternals reclaim it themselves.

Each player leads a Hero and a Faction, building an engine of cards, resources, and Specialists to outmaneuver opponents across the citadel's districts.

On your turn, you spend 5 Time Units across a mix of actions: move your Hero through the citadel's squares, gather resources by trading Life, play cards for powerful effects or discard them for quick gains, deploy Specialists to visit Buildings, plant Flags in key districts to secure influence and protect inhabitants, or challenge an Eternal or the Lumen Core to ascend in the Towers of Knowledge. The most costly action is Rest — it consumes your entire turn but lets you activate your engine, draw new cards, and restore your Specialists. Resting also triggers an Eternal to move, reshaping the citadel and driving the game toward its end.

Cards come in three forms: Survivors (characters with fulfillable Quests for bonus rewards), Buildings (reusable locations that reset after each Rest), and Rifts (one-time effects from the Inner Worlds).

The game ends when the Eternals have moved enough times to trigger the final reckoning — a moment defined by the specific pair of Eternals in play that game.

To win, players score points by climbing the two Towers of Knowledge tied to that game's Eternals (variable in each game) and the Lumen Tower (fix for each game). Collecting bonuses along the way and competing for the objectives revealed at each Tower's summit. The player with the highest combined score becomes the new ruler of Lumen.

With 25 Heroes, 21 Factions, and 12 Eternals generating a unique pair each game, no two playthroughs unfold the same way.
