The artillery falls silent and you order your platoon to cross the hedgerow. The men are jittery; most are replacements, on the frontline for less than a day.
The rip of a German MG cuts through the air. Screams follow and the battle is joined.
You step up to the firing line, to urge the green replacements forward and direct fire against the Germans. Today might be your last.
This is Row by Row, the first scenario/campaign back for A Sergeant’s War. Players can use the pack for stand-alone games or as a series of linked scenarios, in which your casualties and victories have cumulative effects.
The book is written for A Sergeant’s War, but is playable with any WWII rules set. The scenarios feature platoon-sized battles.
The scenarios all play on 4’x4’ or smaller tables (for 15mm/20mm scale) and usually feature 30-50 troops and several vehicles per side. The book includes:
