It includes Iconography for each Spirit's home on the island as well as a new section not included on the tiles in the core game. This expansion allows 5 or 6 players to join in on the game.
Note that for playing a 5-6 player game, you need both the playmat AND the additional player tokens found in the Spirit Island: Champions of the Dahan Token Pack or Spirit Island: Jagged Earth. The cardboard versions of the 2 map tiles which expand the game to 5-6 players are also available in Spirit Island: Jagged Earth.
The 1st Edition Playmat is 24" x 28". The 2nd Edition Playmat is 30" x 35".
