Розовата Долина (Rose Valley)

In Rose Valley, players step into the shoes of landowners in the scenic Bulgarian valley between the Balkan Mountains and the Sredna Gora. Over the course of several years (represented as sequential seasons), you claim plots of land, build houses, and develop estates to grow roses, lavender, and vineyards. As the landscape changes with overlapping field-cards, each decision matters: will you expand your holdings, build a big house for extra points, or attempt co-ops with other players and share harvests?

At the end, you harvest your crops, gather honey from beehives, and may also perform conservation of ancient Thracian tombs — all adding up to victory points. The player with the most points from harvests, goals, and estates wins. The game combines area-building, resource collection, and strategic planning across seasons: it’s easy to learn, but offers meaningful choices each turn as the valley evolves under all players’ influence.

The gameplay spans 4 years, each consisting of 4 seasons. Every player takes one turn per season. A turn consists of the following actions in order:

1. Place a field card
2. Place a house to claim ownership of an estate
3. Take a goal card if you have fulfilled its condition
4. Take a field card

Cards can overlap, making the playing field dynamic and ever-changing. Track the changing seasons and plan which estate to expand or where to build a large house for even more points. You can also form cooperatives with other players, often earning a goal card, but you will share the harvest until the end of the game.
