Setup
Dixit Memories, also known as Dixit 6, is an expansion consisting of 84 new cards for the popular game Dixit. These cards can be integrated with any of the Dixit base games or played independently. The rules for the base game are explained in JcK Episode 61, and the rules for playing independently are in JcK Episode 283. Objective
The main objective of Dixit Memories, when played with the base game rules, is for the storyteller to give a clue that is neither too obvious nor too obscure, allowing some players but not all to guess their chosen card. For other players, the objective is to correctly identify the storyteller's card among the revealed cards and to have at least one other player vote for their own card, which they played in response to the clue.
On your turn
Each round, one player acts as the storyteller. The storyteller secretly chooses one card from their hand and provides a clue (a word, phrase, song, etc.) related to it. All other players then choose a card from their own hands that they feel best matches the storyteller's clue. All chosen cards, including the storyteller's, are shuffled and placed face-up on the table. Players then secretly vote for the card they believe belongs to the storyteller.
Scoring
Scoring depends on the votes. If all players or no players guess the storyteller's card, the storyteller receives 0 points, and other players receive 2 points each. Otherwise, the storyteller and players who correctly guessed the storyteller's card receive 3 points. Additionally, players receive 1 point for each vote their own card receives, up to a maximum of 3 points. The game continues with a new storyteller each round.
Game end
The game concludes when a player reaches 30 points on the scoring track. That player is declared the winner. If multiple players reach 30 points simultaneously, the player with the most points wins. If there's still a tie, the tied players share the victory.
