Steampunk Rally: Lizzie Magie

Activation: Place any two dice with matching pip values to gain 3 movement.

Bonus: You have 3 "Hotel" tokens (borrowed from another game on your shelf).

At the end of each Race Phase, each opponent must pay you 2 cogs per Hotel on their current Track Tile. If they cannot pay, they must discard machine parts with cogs showing in the corner (if they have any), gaining those cogs from the supply, until they have enough to pay.

Then, you may place a die showing pips equal to or greater than the number of opponents in the game (max. 6) from your Pool onto the Hotel Dice Slot to place a Hotel token in the corner of any Track Tile. If you place a Hotel on a tile with no other Hotels, you must reclaim any previously placed Hotels. The die used can be vented later as normal.

Lizzie Magie was a writer, comedian, actress, engineer, feminist, and political activist best known for creating The Landlord's Game, intended to illustrated the ills of land grabbing and the unfair advantages of property ownership and exploitative rent practices. The game developed a cult following with many fans of creating their own game boards, including a group of Quakers in Atlantic City. Three decades after it's creation, Parker Brothers published this version with the title "monopoly" (with the political message sanitized), and the rest is board game history!
